Sexy Heels

Sexy Heels

For a woman who wanted to look and feel sexy, high-heeled shoes would surely be one of the items that could be found in her wardrobe, and being able to wear the daring stilettos would probably be one of her greatest ambition. Sexy high heels are some of the most important instrument for seduction. Men might be very interested in a girl’s looks, but a woman equipped with classy high heels— especially if she’s wearing a pair of chic stilettos— with a smart poise and the right amount of confidence would surely be able to capture any man’s attention just by walking by.
Some of the most popular heels of this age are pumps, gladiator heels, stripper heels, sexy boots and stilettos. Due to the popularity of sexy high heels, it can’t be denied that most designers are very much eager to add more styles to the vast fashion collection we can choose from. However, not all styles can be found on our local stores. But those that cannot be found in local shops are easy to locate on the internet. Shopping for shoes online is quite a good trend nowadays, where you only have to sit and do a few clicks on your computer.
It can’t be denied that we are slowly becoming more and more dependent on the internet for all the information we want because of the convenience it provides. Shopping is now easier than it was before, and one may say it is also better since the internet is providing a wider selection than your local shops and stores. Styles of shoes that you can’t find when you go to your local shoe shop now you can find them if you search for it on the internet.

You can even buy from the direct manufacturers. Aside from that, you can now find the latest vogue when you browse the net. Shopping for shoes has never been this effortless—you can take it easy and just let your personal browser do almost all the work, instead of having to go on an endless walk all over the mall to find what you need and what you want.
High heels sure could cast an enchanting charm on the one wearing them, especially on those who wear them with such poise, so that everyone watching could not help but admire at the captivating sight of the woman wearing the stylish heels. The perfect poise could be achieved through constant practice, but a little effort like that is definitely worth it.
The magic is not only in the general image: it also defines the beauty of your legs as it makes them look slimmer and more elegant, and adds a few more inches to your original height. For this reason, it is sensible to conclude that in the world of footwear fashion, these shoes would still hold the top spot for a girl’s stylish “must haves” for the many decades to come.

Disaster Preparedness Plan: Gear Up, Be Safe

Wenger Swiss Army knife, opened.

Image via Wikipedia

Nobody wants to be in a state where disaster happens yet we can’t seem to do anything to help ourselves because we didn’t expect to come upon such misfortunes. It’s not every day that we come upon a deluge, or a fire or earthquake, but as they say, it’s always better to be prepared than to find yourself helpless against the strike of calamity or accidents. Moreover, there’s no such thing as being too prepared if you’re talking about saving your life and that of your loved ones from disaster. That’s why you’ll have to arrange a disaster preparedness plan.

But preparing the plan can be overwhelming.  How do you prepare for the unexpected? Here are a few suggestions you might want to consider.

Firstly, check out what you and your family basically need. When I say basic, I mean the “food-shelter-clothing” categorization. You don’t need to worry too much on the “shelter”, since you will surely be under safe roofs if there will ever be a need for you to evacuate. To be more organized, create a checklist.  Then start organizing the necessities included in the checklist, and set aside a budget for it so that you can purchase these things.

For your food, select those which are canned or dehydrated—you will need those that won’t perish or expire soon, so check the expiration date and don’t pick those which would wither and rot. Don’t worry so much about the contents of the canned or processed goods; remember that you would only have to endure it for as long as you can’t drive to the nearest grocery store because of the flood or other calamity. Anyway, there are now a lot of processed foods that are still nutritious and healthy.

For the clothing, choose the light and comfortable clothes you have. Include blankets that are warm yet not so heavy. Seriously, you’d have to carry a lot of other heavy materials so you must take particular consideration on the weight of your load.

Don’t forget to prepare a container of water, a first aid kit, a rope, firewood, a box of match or lighter, flashlights with batteries and a few spares, an emergency knife and all other things that you think you would need in case of emergency. A Swiss knife is best for emergency so you might want to have one. Make sure that everything is the most necessary tools for survival.

Disasters can strike when you least expect it, so it would be much better if you can keep safe until the calamity subsides or until rescue comes. You can’t always count on luck to spare you from the blow. So always be prepared.

Mettre de l’eau dans son vin

Mettre de l'eau dans son vin.

Water down your wine.

The title is a French phrase which means ¨to water down one´s vine¨. It may literally be interpreted, as in the past it has been a custom to tone down one´s wine or to try to make it less alcoholic by adding water to it. But now it figuratively means ¨to be more modest in some of your actions¨.

This is a phrase I have read from my horoscope for this day. I´m not really one to believe in horoscopes, I only read them for fun. But once in a while, I get wise advice like this one and I feel like it would be wise to heed such advice.

Furthermore, it does not mean that I heeded to this advice because I believe in horoscopes. It´s just that it would be a waste not to heed such a great advice when it´s staring at you in the face just because it came from the horoscope. That would even be more stupid than believing in such things.

The advice is in French and what´s more, it is an idiomatic expression. But it all means just one point. Attitude adjustment, Maybe I have gone to far with my most eccentric acts.It seems that it´s time for an attitude check.

If I´m going to do that and make some changes with myself, I have to start now.

So It’s Friday!

More like “Fly-day”… 🙂

I was just thinking the other day that I’ll make every Friday as an “All About Manga” day where I would post anything about manga, but right now I just don’t have the time. In fact, now that I think about it, doing it every Friday isn’t really conventional. I have a lot of things to do every Friday, so I don’t think I can fit something like writing about some manga stuffs during this day. I wanted to write a lot, so I wanted to assign a day when I could have more time to write about it. So I decided that I’m gonna do it every Saturday. 🙂

Friday posts would be like wrap-ups of the things that have been going on for the whole week.

Well, nothing much has been happening this week, except that I had started posting on this site. Maybe next week will be more exciting. Keeping the faith alive!

I have lost of things I wanna write about, so prepare for next week’s deluge of posts.

Gotta go! 🙂

Apathy

Jackie Chan Little Man

"It is marvelous to be a little man".

You could say we are trapped in a prison with the TV and/or computer as our warden. We see people suffering and exclaim ” The people/groups/government/voluntary organizations should do something.” And the act stops there. Before long, we tend to forget all about it so that we don’t have to do something. After all, we always say, “we can’t do anything. We are just the common people.”

However, we should remember that in the past, others have acted for what they believe should be done, even if they belong to no organization. If they succeeded, we call them patriots, or heroes. If they lose, they generally become the villains, or rebels. And anyone has to be in an organization to act, and everybody expects that organization to do the job.

But have we forgotten how these organizations started? No tree grows from nothing, each group or organization started from a seed, an idea, or an advocacy raised by a single person, and then agreed upon by the others, the people who choose to act in accordance to what they are supporting for.

Today, no one is thinking of raising an idea openly because of the risk of being ridiculed. Instead, all of us is resorting to exclaiming to ourselves, or writing down our grumbles in this far off places where “Big Brother” cannot put us to detention or something like that. (I am referring to the Orwellian Big Brother here guys, not any reality games). The question used to be “what should be done?”. Now the question that everyone seems to ask is “Who should do it?” and if nothing is done, then all of us wants to find someone or something who we could point our fingers to.

They say age of technology brings with it apathy. Should we sought for who to blame? Or shall we start asking ourselves what we should do instead, else we remain like this forever?

***I already forgot what triggered me into writing this short article a few years ago. I think I published it on one of the bogs I deleted already so that means it’s already an unpublished material, until now, that is. I uncovered this from one of my file collections while trying to get some ideas on what to write about for today, and I though it would be nice to share such ideas with everyone over a cup of coffee.

So what do you think?
